Welcome to my web site, hopefully you will find some useful information here.
My name is Bill English, K4FX, I have been a ham operator for 32 years. First licensed as WD4OZM in Feb 1978, I upgraded to General in Mar. 1978, Advanced, KC4AW in 1980, and Extra AA4FS in 1986. I have gone thru several callsigns thanks to the vanity system. First was my initial, W4WTE, that was short-lived, not a very good call on CW. Next was W4VD. Always wanted a 1X2 call, but too many jokes about the suffix. Finally when I saw this was 3 years ago, I couldn't help but try. Luckily I won out over the other hams vying for it, and it will be my last call.
I am married, my wife's name is Rosy. We have 3 children, Jimmy aged 14, Alicia aged 12, and Kathy, 9. I work for the NC Dept of Corrections, and also run a small computer business on the side.
