NEWEST AND BEST
Here you will find the best data apps out there, now good old MMSSTV and MMTTY are still and will remain my favs for old time modes, but there new voice data and basically FTP over HF programs can be found here Check back frequently as they are upgrading these babies very regularly. Just click on the "Digital Software" link and R-E-A-D.....
SSTV and RTTY
These are all you need for slow scan and RTTY, MMTTY is especially nice for FSK if you are interested in direct keyed FSK instead of AFSK in the LSB mode. I had a bit of a problem in that the keying on the 940 was inverted on the Rigblaster, and in the MMTTTY there was no way to reverse FSK as you can in AFSK. The kind people at West Mountain found a plug-in for me to install that made a "rev FSK" check box for me. And also this DLL will allow you to send FSK via a USB to Serial adapter, which before now West Mountain had said was not possible with USB adapters.
The FSK is the only way to go, in contest you don't have the AFC trying to tune in on other signals, and the VBT in the wide position gives you 2.4KHz to 600hz, that in combination of the notch filters, you can really pick them out of the mud. If your rig has an FSK or RTTY mode and you're using AFSK I would highly you giving it a try. Each mode has it's pros and cons, I think over FSK is best, but the nice thing is you can switch from one to the other in a flash if needed.

QSLs
I had think about ordering new cards when my new call came thru, cards were starting to dribble in wanting QSL's from K4FX, but the more I looked at the cost, and the more I realized that most of my QSL's were via LOTW and EQSL, I saw that no matter how cheap (and the cheap ones showed it) they were, I was just throwing away money. So based on the always reliable E-ham reviews, I got lucky and found a winner on the first try with QSL Maker from WB8RCR, I have been pleasantly surprised, my handwriting is so bad I usually threw away about half of my QSL's from screwing them up or making mistakes, no more with QSL maker, the PC does the printing for you, also you can make new "looks" as you desire, my first effort was quite nice with my A4 as a background, now I simply print as needed, I even have it signed in MT Script font so it looks like I actually signed the QSL.
Highly recommended for people who only answer QSL's received, now if you are one of the ones who goes thru 1000 QSL's a year the cost of ink may make you want to think twice!
